Eli went for a physical to get cleared for his mission papers, and he was told he needed to move home (he was living in Utah) and get to a doctor asap. He had serious kidney issues. We made the appointment that day and he raced home. We went in two days later to the doctor and he checked him right into the hospital. He was tested for everything you can imagine and some you can't! After the kidney biopsy, 500 milligrams of IV steroids (twice) and LOTS of blood draws they came up with a diagnosis, chronic renal failure. His kidneys are working at 20 % . He is going to need a kidney transplant within the next 5 or 6 months. Gregg is being tested. We have another appointment at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale on October 2. We are going for a second opinion. He is so scared that they will put him back in the hospital. We are so thankful for all the prayers on our behalf. He has been so strong, I know that his Heavenly Father is comforting him and our family. It will be a long road but we know it will be ok.
