~Valentines and Cupcakes a la Princess Becca~

The princess and I had a blast making these "fancy" Valentines! They took a few days of fun... I told her that since we had worked so hard on the Valentines that we should just buy the cupcakes... NO WAY! She was not going for it! We whipped out Aunt Jana's wonderful cake recipe and made 24 "fancy" cupcakes, just as my Princess ordered! She did most of the decorating! She told me that her teacher loved them! Yay! She had a fabulous Valentine's party with all of the goodies she could handle... Priceless :)

Lunch with the boys!

Grayson had early release today! Eli went with me to pick him up and then he took us to lunch at Barros Pizza. It was so good, the food and the company :) It is such a wonderful feeling to be with two of your favorite people, and they turn out to be your children! ha~ My veggie pizza never tasted so good :)
p.s. Eli has gained 28 pounds since the transplant!!! Doesn't he look good?!

Suns Vs. Clippers here he comes!!!

Congratulations Grayson!!! I just got home from picking up Grayson from school and while I was there one of his favorite teachers "Ms. Lorona" asked me if he had told me the "news". My mom instinct was wondering "oh no, what happened?", I was comforted by her sweet smile :) She called Grayson over... and...
He was nominated by her to go to the Suns game on the 26th of this month! She had to choose two out of all of her students! Yay! Yipee Ya Hoo! Grayson was grinning from ear to ear as I was about to cry... (shocker) I thanked her profusely as she went on to tell me what an excellent student he is!(I proceeded to hug him and kiss him on the cheek, yep, in front of EVERYONE! so sorry Grayson, I was overwhelmed and forgot that we don't show affection at this age :) ) It is such an amazing feeling when your child is recognized for his grades, attitude and most of all character! I am so proud of him! He is going to have the time of his life! (sorry about all of these exclamation points! I know how melodramatic I am... haha)

Spelling Bee Update...

Becca was very nervous! She went through three rounds with her deer in the headlights expression. She was asked the word "scruple"... she spelled it S-C-R-E-W-P-I-L... BUZZZZZ... She looked deflated and walked away. My heart sank... SCRUPLE!!! I don't think that word is in my vocabulary!!! It is obvious to me that I need to spruce up our use of the English language around here!
After the round she chatted with her friend and we made plans for some McDonald's biscuits and chocolate milk... what a great morning!

Legacy Traditional District Spelling Bee Here We Come!!!

Miss Rebecca Lynn and I will be heading out early in the morning to Maricopa for the spelling bee! She came in fourth at her school spelling bee, she missed the word "solemn". She said "Mom, I have never even heard of that word!" We are going to have a great time, even if there is a torrential downpour going on outside! I am so blessed to have three great spellers! Eli started them off, Grayson kept up the tradition and Becca is definitely the youngest and proudest :)

What a beautiful day!

It's 70 degrees today and the sun is shining bright! Only five more days until Eli is feeling right :) Yes, I am trying to rhyme today... what a dork!
He will be going into the hospital on Sunday to prepare him for the surgery, we are so thankful for that! I feel more at peace when he is around a medical team that can help him at a moments notice.
Have a beautiful day, wherever you are!!!
